Auto-Dimming Requirement

This Dongar dash cam adapter requires an auto-dimming or powered rearview mirror (such as a mirror with garage buttons) to function.

Extended Compatibility

Ignition-Activated Power

This adapter powers your dash cam or other USB-powered device when your vehicle's ignition is ON – it is not intended for parking mode or other constant power applications. By turning on only when your vehicle is on, it eliminates any danger of draining your car’s battery.
