It seats in the 9564, 9568, 9596, 9596N, UF20, UF22, UF22T, UF22T-CB, UF22N-CB and M-T1810R24 systems, and 21176. One important exception: systems built in 2013 or later are usually Ultrefiner II, which takes proprietary dealer cartridges and will not accept this membrane.

The filter membrane's life is determined by the amount of use and the quality of the feed water. Normally, the life of this membrane is 6 months to 12 months. This water filter membrane works as an original TFC-RS9-22 water filter membrane and provides the same capacity as the original does. When it turns dark yellow or brown, it's time to replace it.

On municipal tap or private well supply, the membrane strips dissolved solids — low-TDS water for drinking and cooking from the system you already own. RO reduces TDS broadly; for certified reduction of specific contaminants, look for systems tested to NSF/ANSI 58 for those claims.

Cartridges are maintenance parts, not water treatment plans, and no single one handles everything. Carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor. Sediment media captures sand, silt, dirt and rust.
